Produced by Mark Opitz at Rhinoceros Studios in Sydney, the record saw INXS abandon the polished production of Kick and X, incorporating distorted guitars, sitar, and the 60-piece Australian Concert Orchestra recorded live in the studio. Q magazine placed it among the 50 Best Albums of 1992. The sleeve features a photograph by Steve Pyke MBE, drawn from his Uniforms series, an alternate to the three-boy cover used on the original CD.
