Widely regarded as one of Caravan's finest records, For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night finds the Canterbury legends in inspired form. Released in 1973, it brings together progressive rock, jazz-inflected arrangements and the band's melodic touch in a way that still feels central to the Canterbury Scene.
With favourites including Memory Lain, Hugh / Headloss, The Dog, The Dog, He's At It Again and the suite L'Auberge du Sanglier, the album balances intricate playing with memorable songwriting. The return of keyboardist Dave Sinclair and the addition of violist Geoff Richardson deepen the band's mid-'70s sound.
A key listen for fans of progressive rock, Canterbury Scene pioneers, and artists such as Camel, Soft Machine and early Genesis. Every vinyl comes in premium packaging with a heavy duty card sleeve, embossed Thousand Club logo, individual foil numbering, a foil sticker and a protective PVC sleeve.

For UK deliveries, please allow up to 7 business days for delivery; expected delivery usually between 3 - 5 days. Delivery outside of the UK may take longer, please allow up to 15 business days for delivery; expected delivery is between 5 - 10 days.
We only do Signed deliveries for domestic UK orders, and Tracked deliveries for international orders with Royal Mail to ensure safe and quicker delivery of your orders.

If you have purchased a pre-order as entry to one of our instore gigs, you will be able to collect the vinyl or CD on the day of the event and get it signed by the performer or band.
We won't be printing tickets for this, please use your email order confirmation for entry.
