Pressed on heavyweight 180GSM black vinyl and accompanied by a 10" lyric insert, The Ick is the debut album from Crying Loser – a feral, shape-shifting blast of art-damaged post-punk and no-wave energy. Built around jagged guitars, propulsive rhythms and a restless sense of momentum, the record moves between abrasive minimalism and tightly wound hooks, capturing the band’s volatile live intensity on record.
Featuring the lead single ‘Flesh Interface’, the album has already drawn early tastemaker support, including airplay from Deb Grant and Amy Lamé on BBC 6 Music and multiple Bandcamp New & Notable features, which described the band’s sound as “pummeling no wave reminiscent of OSEES.”
Writing about the record, American Pancake called it “the perfect brain-rattling cocktail for those of us who need to get away from the average pop swill from time to time.” Released via We Go To 11, the new imprint from Trapped Animal, The Ick forms part of the label’s expanding catalogue of fiercely independent, forward-thinking independent music. This edition pairs Crying Loser’s raw immediacy with a heavyweight pressing and lyric insert that captures the full scope of the album’s warped, cathartic world.

For UK deliveries, please allow up to 7 business days for delivery; expected delivery usually between 3 - 5 days. Delivery outside of the UK may take longer, please allow up to 15 business days for delivery; expected delivery is between 5 - 10 days.
We only do Signed deliveries for domestic UK orders, and Tracked deliveries for international orders with Royal Mail to ensure safe and quicker delivery of your orders.
