We are delighted to announce the release of 'A Moon's Bouche' from Whistle favourites Flat Moon on a limited run of 7" vinyl - a collaboration for the ages between ourselves and our good pals over at Monomyth Records!
Those who have attended the now infamous Flat Fridays at the Whistle over the last couple of years will know exactly to what to expect from Leeds' favourite genre bending sextet.
Musically inspired in equal parts by the rhythms of Latin jazz and 2010s-era Dr. Who, “A Moon’s Bouche” is a song about feeling creatively stagnant, and the frustration that ensues as a result.
The title “A Moon’s Bouche” was conceived by bass player Ali McCarthy, as a way of referencing both the band's name and the fact that as a developing artist, they have “only had a taste of what’s to come”.
With a percussion-driven latin/funk introduction giving way to a psych-rock melee that twists and turns through multiple time signatures before landing in a sax-led jazz-flavoured interlude, this track combines all of Flat Moon’s eclectic influences into one delectable bite.

The Vinyl Whistle uses Royal Mail for national and international deliveries.
For UK deliveries, please allow up to 7 business days for delivery; expected delivery usually between 3 - 5 days. Delivery outside of the UK may take longer, please allow up to 15 business days for delivery; expected delivery is between 5 - 10 days.
We only do Signed deliveries for domestic UK orders, and Tracked deliveries for international orders with Royal Mail to ensure safe and quicker delivery of your orders.
