The Milltown Brothers release new album Boogie Woogie in September 2025 - Boogie Woogie marks a homecoming for the group, lyrically and thematically painting a more positive and lighthearted brush compared to previous releases

The Lancashire band burst onto the indie scene in 1989 and were quickly tipped for
90s stardom by the NME. The band are best known for their top 40 single Which Way Should I Jump and critically acclaimed 1991 album Slinky. The band parted ways following second album Valve but reunited 10 years later, releasing Rubberband in 2004, which Record Collector described as "a faultless third album". Two further critically acclaimed albums followed. In 2023, the group began writing and rehearsing Boogie Woogie and made their triumphant return to the live stage. The positivity from these sessions are evident in this new ;collection of tracks - Boogie Woogie is a celebration and a call to party!

From Colne in Lancaster, milltown brothers first burst onto the indie scene in 1989
with the 'Coming From The Mill EP' getting high praise in NME. Second indie single
'Which Way Should I Jump' started a bidding war between the majors. The album - Slinky - was a revelation receiving a maximum 5 Stars in Q Magazine. After a lengthy delay and much dispute the bands second album faired less well and they parted ways with A&M It took 10 years for the band to work together again and in March 2004, they released their third studio album - Rubberband. ;Playing to their strengths, it once more demonstrated their head for melody, band dynamics and song writing.
Described in Record Collector as 'a faultless third album'. Two further critically
acclaimed albums followed in 2014 and 2020. 2024 saw sold out gigs including a first
London performance in 20 years and a triumphant return to the main stage at Shiiine On festival.
