Remastered and Cut AAA directly from the original analog tapes by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. Pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal Media and housed in Stoughton Old Style® Tip-On Jackets. Including an insert with newly written liner notes by Mike Flynn and Barney Fields with rare photographs.
Buster Williams’ Pinnacle (1975) is a masterful blend of spiritual jazz, post-bop, and early fusion, showcasing the bassist’s vision as a composer and bandleader. Recorded at Blue Rock Studios with a stellar lineup—including Woody Shaw, Sonny Fortune, Onaje Allan Gumbs, and Billy Hart—the album features richly textured arrangements, deep grooves, and expressive solos. From the cosmic funk of “The Hump” to the lyrical beauty of “Tayamisha,” Pinnacle reflects the creative momentum of Williams' post-Mwandishi years. It’s a landmark session that bridges tradition and exploration, newly remastered for audiophiles with restored analog warmth and dynamic depth.

For UK deliveries, please allow up to 7 business days for delivery; expected delivery usually between 3 - 5 days. Delivery outside of the UK may take longer, please allow up to 15 business days for delivery; expected delivery is between 5 - 10 days.
We only do Signed deliveries for domestic UK orders, and Tracked deliveries for international orders with Royal Mail to ensure safe and quicker delivery of your orders.
Please note, The Vinyl Whistle accepts no responsibility for any package which is damaged, lost or stolen during transit. Compensation for damage or loss should be pursued through the claims procedure offered by the Royal Mail - contact us if you need help with this.
