Reggae, Dancehall, Folk, Ska, Rocksteady - Celebrating 40 years of Carnival Reggae in Leeds with this Live Vinyl "Open Decks" - opportunity to play Reggae in n a relaxed, family friendly, boutique hub off de main Otley Rd .
4pm til 7.30pm (open decks slots)  then 7.30 -10.30pm (night) 

Join us on a PAYF (cash collection)  suggested £5 payable on the day/night..

Vinyl Whistle : "Promoting women in music"- Join Nattylyn Maddix-Butler aka "DJ Natty Bongo Congo  I" & "DJ KC" located from Chapeltown, Leeds ....stepping over to LS6 post Hyde Park Unity Day to promote roots n culture for a one off afternoon of Reggae Ital Roots  "Back a Yard" Vibrations! 

Join us from 4pm til 10.30pm for an afternoon of Dominoes, Crafting & Ska dancing ... 

Honouring n memorial for those sadly passed this year 2026 n recent years who are integral to the carnival & local/international reggae community & beyond! 

So come n Jam like you have already pon road or attended a UK festival this year & support black female music promoters/performers  &  if your getting ready for the 59 years of Leeds West Indian Carnival & you want to be a Queen, Monarch or Prince/Princess then come in part costume & bring your sparkle or remember the reggae wallpaper  (or can't attend carnival cause your going to The Leeds Festival 2026) Now is de time to visit de record store, play on de decks your Reggae, ska, dancehall vinyl  collection. 

This (40 years Anniversary Celebration) aims to bring communities together & opportunity to purchase some Vinyl, New, Rare n Vintage from de box as sales open til at least 10pm! 

Support Local Independent Business & Retailers & purchase a record & Meanhood are based on the basement. 

Selection of snacks, local Kirkstall Brewery Beers, Spirituals & Tea/Coffee available for purchase. 

Nattylyn wants you to bring a friend, family or yourself as she's in her 40s n fitting it's the 40th Anniversary so let's bring reggae to Headingley!

The Vinyl Whistle uses Royal Mail for national and international deliveries.

For UK deliveries, please allow up to 7 business days for delivery; expected delivery usually between 3 - 5 days. Delivery outside of the UK may take longer, please allow up to 15 business days for delivery; expected delivery is between 5 - 10 days.

We only do Signed deliveries for domestic UK orders, and Tracked deliveries for international orders with Royal Mail to ensure safe and quicker delivery of your orders.

 

Please note, The Vinyl Whistle accepts no responsibility for any package which is damaged, lost or stolen during transit. Compensation for damage or loss should be pursued through the claims procedure offered by the Royal Mail - contact us if you need help with this.

Instore - Tickets & Events

If you have purchased a pre-order as entry to one of our instore gigs, you will be able to collect the vinyl or CD on the day of the event and get it signed by the performer or band.

We won't be printing tickets for this, please use your email order confirmation for entry.
