The Rockers Sound (aka Steppas) came from the mid 70’s and was created during sessions with The Revolutionaires band at Channel 1. Drummer Sly Dunbar came up with a new ‘Militant’ style double drumming on the snare drum that seemed to add some credence to the political / Rasta based lyrics that were so prominent around this time. So for this compilation Kingston Sounds have pulled together some of the best cuts from this period when producer Bunny Lee was on the top of his game and the sound in town to get on board with was ‘Rockers’. It features cuts from Cornell Campbell, Dennis Brown, Horace Andy, I Roy, Leroy Smart etc.

We only do Signed deliveries for domestic UK orders, and Tracked deliveries for international orders with Royal Mail to ensure safe and quicker delivery of your orders.

Instore - Tickets & Events

If you have purchased a pre-order as entry to one of our instore gigs, you will be able to collect the vinyl or CD on the day of the event and get it signed by the performer or band.

We won't be printing tickets for this, please use your email order confirmation for entry.
